Priorities of German Projects in Kosovo Are Energy, Water and Youth

A delegation of German Government met on Tuesday with representatives of the Government of Kosovo, in Prishtina, who agreed with the priorities of German projects in Kosovo, which will be energy, water and youth, said the German Embassy, through a press release.

"The intergovernmental consultations on development cooperation between Kosovo and Germany are successfully concluded. New projects are to be supported in the field of energy, water and youth support, reforms in public finance, as well as the justice system and education", said the press release.

During the intergovernmental consultations, the German government pledged to further support the newest state in Europe, in order to improve the living conditions and progress in approach with the EU.

"The delegations of both countries have agreed to strengthen cooperation in the areas of promoting youth employment, the rule of law, education, and energy and wastewater disposal. Consultations were held within the fifteenth Jubilee of cooperation between Germany and Kosovo", said the press release.

In the energy sector, Germany plans to support the Kosovar Government with additional funds to build the capacity of power transmission network, so that the population can benefit directly and simultaneously to give a contribution to the integration of Kosovar market in the European market of energy.
