Jill Scott's performance at the Philadelphia Orchestra's Academy Ball last month floored attendees, but her run of success won't stop in Philly. Instead, Scott will be taking things national in 2014 as a guest mentor on The Voice.

Scott will join Team Usher as a guide to contestants, an aspect Usher called his "secret weapon" in his performance arsenal. Scott, said Usher, is "incredible, as a writer, as a musician, as an actress," all elements that will help usher (zing!) his team to victory.

Scott's advice to Voice contestants? "Listen to your gut, follow your heart and it will lead you somewhere special."
Good advice, but if anyone needs a lesson, you can catch Scott on The Voice starting February 24 on NBC.
